Meet your councillors for Wellsprings & Rowbarton on Taunton Town Council

Nick O'Donnell

Nick has been a science teacher at a school here in Taunton for the last 20 years but is now semi-retired, working in a new role as a carer in the community and Chair of the South Somerset Astronomical Society. He is working on improving the Solar walk along the Taunton – Bridgwater Canal.  

Nick is also a trustee of Taunton’s local Climate action group and helps with their hub in town. He wants to see more cycle routes and greener strategies implemented in our communities, as well as protecting and enhancing Taunton’s green spaces. Nick has also been Mayor of Taunton for a year from May 2023 to May 2024. 

Rob Isaacs

Rob has lived in the north of Taunton with his wife Pauline for over 20 years where his family grew up.

He works in the financial industry. Rob wants to see more done to improve local green spaces, increase maintenance of the area, and to support businesses in the town.

Rob was elected in the by-election in May 2024 after Marcia resigned after 30 years of service as a councillor.
