Regeneration of Firepool and Taunton town centre

Previously a cattle market, the transformation of Firepool will create new homes and a leisure quarter built around a welcoming public space. Since the Liberal Democrats took over Somerset council, work has now begun on the boulevard giving pedestrians and cyclists alike routes into the town centre. This new gateway from the train station to Taunton will support revitalisation and regeneration of the town centre.
